Welcome to our School
Hello Parents and Families of Brighter Choice Community School!
It is with great pleasure and anticipation that I introduce myself to you, My name is Deittra Wilder, and I have the honor of being your Parent-Teacher Coordinator! As Parent Teacher Coordinator and a BCCS parent, I am committed to not only being a facilitator between the BCCS Administration, Staff, PTA, and families at large, but also an active member of our BCCS community. I see my roles as Parent and Parent-Teacher Coordinator as mutually exclusive, and mutually beneficial to one another simultaneously.
My goals for this academic year include expanding on the impressive network of active parents to assure that we all work together to build an even stronger BCCS partnership that supports each of our children’s academic success and emotional development. BCCS is a home away from home where our children are educated, and where we as Administrators, Parents, Families, and Guardians are the gatekeepers to the success of that education. I firmly believe that families thrive and feel a connection to a community when each member can positively contribute in their own special ways.
I look forward to working with each of you! I want everyone to always feel free to contact me. Let’s commit as the community and family I know that we are. Let’s show and tell the world our best-kept secret in Brooklyn. We are Bedford-Stuyvesant’s #1 school choice, and we love Brighter Choice Community School!
Best always,
Deittra L. Wilder, Parent Coordinator - DWilder2@schools.nyc.gov
